St. Catherine's Staff

	Father Joseph Marcoux, our Pastor, is a secular priest, ordained for the Diocese of Rochester, New York in 2001. His main focus is to shepherd the community of St. Catherine of Siena by implementing our vision to become: “A vibrant Catholic community where all are welcomed, challenged and supported in their life journeys.” Fr. Joe joined our staff in July 2010.
	Sister Mary O'Brien, our Pastoral Associate, is a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Her religious community is based in the Albany area. Her primary ministry focus in our parish includes liturgy, small Christian communities, and social justice. Sister Mary joined our staff in September 2003.
	Mary Boris, our Pastoral Associate, coordinates our Baptisms and R.C.I.A. program and adult faith enrichment as well as leads Ignatian Spiritual exercises, a 30-week spiritual direction retreat. She visits those who are hospitalized or home-bound and she assists in funerals. Mary joined our staff in September 1999.
	Sherry Scanza serves as our Director of Liturgical Music. She has more than twenty-five years of choral, teaching and performance experience. She received the Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music (vocal performance) from Ohio University. She was associate director for the Angel City Chorale in Los Angeles, CA and assistant director of the Pepperdine University Singers prior to moving to Ithaca in 2002. She has taught private voice at Cornell University, Pepperdine University, West Virginia University, the Community School of Music and Arts in Ithaca, and maintains a private studio in her home. In addition to her work at St. Catherine, she teaches in the performing arts department at SUNY Cortland and serves on the board of directors for the Cayuga Vocal Ensemble, most recently as president from 2007-2010. Sherry joined our staff in July 2007.
	Christine Williams, our Youth Faith Formation Administrator, oversees our youth faith formation and sacramental preparation staff, volunteers and programs. She joined our staff in May 2009.
	Patricia Côté, our Business Manager, is responsible for the financial management, daily operations and human resources for the parish. She also coordinates Parish communications. Pat is the staff liaison for the Finance Council, Stewardship Committee and Communications Committee. She joined our staff in August 1996 as Administrative Assistant and became Business Manager in June 1998.
	Ginny Rohrer, our Parish Secretary, manages the reception office, maintains parishioner records, handles room requests, produces the bulletin, performs bookkeeping duties and many other vital tasks. Ginny recently returned to Ithaca after spending many years in New York City where she worked as a law firm secretary. She joined our staff in December 2008.
	Jerome Srb, our veteran staff member, has been serving St. Catherine's ministry as our Maintenance and Grounds expert since 1991. He is a very valuable part of our staff, especially for his "fix-it" and carpentry skills.
	Diane Tordel is the Housekeeper. Now semi-retired, she efficiently maintains the church and the parish center. Diane joined our staff in July 1996.
