Catholic Schools Policy

One of the prominent values of the community of St. Catherine of Siena is to support our local Catholic schools. 

If you are thinking of enrolling your child in Catholic school, the procedure is:

• Contact the school. The school will provide you with a parish support form.
• Make an appointment with Fr. Joe by contacting the Parish Office at 257-2493.

All community members who wish to send their children to Catholic school should be able to do so, regardless of financial considerations. We currently assist a number of children with tuition for Catholic schools, and will happily continue to do so. Please contact the Parish Office with any questions about our Catholic schools policy.

Local Catholic schools include:

• St. Mary's, Cortland (pre-k through 6th grade)
• St. Mary Our Mother, Horseheads (pre-k through 6th grade)
• Holy Family, Elmira (pre-k through 6th grade)
• St. Joseph's, Auburn (pre-k through 8th grade)
• Notre Dame, Elmira (grades 7–12)
• Tyburn Academy of Mary Immaculate, Auburn (grades 6–12)

Considering a Catholic education for your student? Notre Dame High School is pleased to offer a a busing option to students in grades PreK4–12 making a Catholic education a viable option for students residing in Ithaca and the surrounding areas. The Ithaca bus will transport students from the Plain Street entrance of the former Immaculate Conception School (between Buffalo and Court Street) to  St. Mary Our Mother Elementary School (PreK4–Grade 6) and to  Notre Dame High School (Grades 7–12).  For more information regarding St. Mary Our Mother School contact Jean Yorio at 607-739-9157.  For information regarding Notre Dame High School contact Michelle Barkley 607-734-2267, ext. 321.
